I am extremely satisfied with RockAuto's service!
Excellent prices and super fast shipping.
I have checked many auto part prices in my
area and on the net but nobody even comes close
to RockAuto.
Simply stated: ROCKAUTO ROCKS!
Mario in NJ

I ordered engine mounts for a 37 year old car
with an engine that's been out of production
for over twenty. I received them in LESS than
48 hours! At a price of less than $15 with shipping!
That's not just excellent service, that's borderline
scary. I half expect to see RockAuto elves in
my garage making a list of what I need so it
will be able to ship when I hit the submit button.
Say, you guys don't work for Santa do you?
Thanks,
Mark in PA

Car Care Quiz?
|
|

|
1. When the brake warning light illuminates on the
instrument panel, it can only mean that the parking
brake is on.
T or F
2. Tree sap is the main reason for streaks and smears
on the windshield.
T or F
3. When your headlights look dim, the probable cause
is lack of ample electrical current.
T or F
4. All cars require a front-end alignment periodically.
T or F
5. Your brake pedal is very low. This could be caused
by air in hydraulic system.
T or F
Answers
1. False. In some cars, the brake warning light and
the parking brake light share the same bulb. This means
that the light may be warning you of something more
serious, like a loss of hydraulic brake fluid. 2. False.
Road tar and oil on the wiper blade, as well as hardened
and cracked blade rubber can prevent proper contact
with the windshield surface. Replace blades every six
months and check washer fluid monthly. 3. True. The
cause could be anything from a low battery charge to
a loose alternator belt. 4. True. While the front wheels
should be aligned periodically, some vehicles, such
as those with independent rear suspension, require that
the rear wheels be aligned, as well. 5. True. A low
brake pedal also could be the result of a leak in the
hydraulic system or maladjusted brake shoes.

Persistence Pays!

I finally found a very reasonably priced
"cherry" 1993 300ZX from the original owner
in Sarasota. She was in her seventies, and had bought
it new. It is a nearly perfect, stereotypical "little
old lady car". Even the leather interior is indistinguishable
from new, and it runs great! As a professional artist
I just love this car's style - timeless!
I plan to keep it mostly original, but
I did order a camber kit from RockAuto to correct tire
wear, since the Z car's isn't adjustable. My local repair
shop put them on without a problem.
Thanks,
Renee in Florida
