2006 Cannonball Run One Lap of America

Persevering through rain, traffic, and mechanical
challenges, Mike Stimac and co-driver Steve Calder performed
awesomely in the annual Cannonball Run One Lap of America.
This year the route covered almost 4000 miles in eight
days, through 16 states, visiting 10 motorsports facilities
for 18 timed events.
This year's results are a testament to their driving
skill and automotive knowledge. Vipers, Porsches, and
Corvettes fell to the wayside when challenged by this
extraordinary grassroots team in an 18 year old car.
And they are two of nicest guys you willl ever have
the pleasure of meeting.
Results:
• Class SSGT2 Small Bore - 1st place
• Wet Skid Pad - 1st Place
• Overall (out of 88 cars)
- 16th place

Hello RockAuto!
Last year my wife and I decided we wanted a cool looking
SUV that didn't cost $50,000.
Well here it is! Our 1985 Jeep Wagoneer.
We repainted it ourselves at my buddy Jim Hanson's
body shop in Iowa City. Dropped in a brand new straight
six motor and look at it now! I got all the parts for
