ReTech, Division of Universal Mfg. Co., is an automotive replacement parts remanufacturer and distributor, with division offices and manufacturing facilities located in Algona, Iowa.
Universal Mfg. Co. was started in 1946 as a Ford Authorized Remanufacturer of engines and component parts. The Ford Authorized Remanufacturing program was discontinued in about 2000, and the remanufacturing focus shifted from supplying Ford remanufactured parts to Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealerships to supplying all makes of remanufactured products to the independent automotive aftermarket.
