Carter fuel pumps give you OE fit & form proven to save time and effort.

Why Do Fuel Pumps Fail?
Fuel pumps typically operate for seven to ten years before failure. Premature failures are most commonly caused by one of the following reasons:

  • Excessive Hot/Cold Environments
  • Contaminated fuel
  • Excessively running a vehicle on a near empty tank which prevents the pump from being fully submerged causing it to overheat

  • Turbine is quieter, more tolerant of debris, and thus more durable, providing a longer service life
  • Turbine draws less amperage than OE preventing overloads, extending connector life, and eliminating fuel pulsation
  • Solid silver fuel sender contacts to provide better electrical conductivity and providing resistance to corrosive fuel blends
  • Digital pressure sender transducer offers higher accuracy and reliability than the OE analog transducer
  • Overmolded Armature provides optimum balance and long life with added wire protection
  • CleanScreen strainer provides maximum filtration with reduced clogging and optimum flow
