Count on SVL ring and pinion gearing to deliver the ideal blend of coverage, performance, and value for your vehicle. SVL gearing is engineered for all makes and ratios, and the processes that go into manufacturing SVL gearing make all the difference.
Differential Identification Guide
To order the correct ring & pinion, it's crucial to know the differential type and gear ratio on your vehicle.
Next, determine the gear ratio on your vehicle using one of the following methods:
Count The Teeth: Divide the number of teeth on the ring gear (big gear) by the number of teeth on the pinion gear (small gear). If you have 37 teeth on your ring gear and 12 teeth on your pinion gear, you have a 3.08 Gear Ratio (37 ÷ 12 = 3.08).
Verify Through A Dealer: Verify the ratio using your VIN number. This will only be accurate if the differential has not been previously modified.
