• All base, body and air horns are stamped prior to disassembly to ensure units are reassembled with the proper “companion” parts. Internal parts such as jets and metering rods are identified, to ensure they remain with the original castings, where variations may have occurred at the manufacturing level. This process ensures that original flow characteristics are maintained.
• After disassembly all parts are inspected and cleaned in industrial equipment. Internal parts such as gaskets, needle and seats and plunger cups are discarded. All white metal castings are chemically processed to restore the factory finish. All aluminium castings are sandblasted or tumbler processed to restore the finish. Bases are surfaced to ensure proper mating with the body assembly and the manifold. Mounting holes are refaced to assure proper torque of mounting fasteners.
• During the sub-assembly process all threads, inlets and vacuum pipes are inspected and repaired or replaced if necessary. Throttle and choke plates are inspected and replaced if not serviceable. Throttle bushings are installed wherever throttle shaft play is not within tolerances. Completed base assemblies are checked for vacuum integrity. Any base that does not meet specifications must be repaired prior to use.
• Throughout the assembly process all body and calibration components are reassembled to the original unit to maintain product calibration. All assembly components are tested prior to product assembly.
• Completed product is flow tested throughout all ranges of operation to ensure proper calibration. Choke adjustment, idle speed and air-screw settings are made during product testing. This process allows the technician to start the vehicle upon product installation. Final adjustments may be necessary due to varied engine condition.
• All Autoline Carburetors are heat shrink packaged with installation instructions, mounting gaskets and specific technical bulletins.

Important Install Notices:

Choke Cover: Due to various manufacturer designs of choke covers, this part may not have the proper connectors for the vehicle application. If this occurs it is recommended that the choke cover from the old carburetor be used.

Continuity Test: The thermostatic electric choke cover cannot be checked for continuity unless it is first heated above 110 degrees Fahrenheit (through its closing temperature range). This is because the internal temperature sensitive switch will be either open or closed between 60 degrees Fahrenheit and 110 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the most recent temperature extreme to which the cover is exposed. A previously heated switch, above 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the closed mode upon cooling, will not open until it reaches approximately 60 degrees Fahrenheit conversely, a previously cooled switch, below 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the open mode, upon heating above the open point 60 degrees Fahrenheit will not close until it reaches approximately 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

Therefore when testing choke cover electrical continuity between these temperatures, you must know which side of the heating / cooling cycle mode the switch is in.

Verhindern Sie Vergaserüberflutung / vorzeitiges Ausfallen!

• Vermeiden Sie Kraftstoffmischungen mit hohem Ethanolanteil. Informationen zu den Kraftstoffanforderungen finden Sie im Benutzerhandbuch.
• Ethanol kann Ablagerungen aus dem Kraftstofftank, den Kraftstoffleitungen und anderen Komponenten des Kraftstoffsystems, die ursprünglich nicht für Ethanolmischungen ausgelegt waren, lösen und entfernen.
• Ersetzen Sie immer den Kraftstofffilter und spülen Sie die Kraftstoffleitungen, wenn Sie den Vergaser ersetzen oder warten.
• Schmutz und Ablagerungen aus ungefiltertem Kraftstoff können sich zwischen Einlassventil und Sitz festsetzen und zu Überschwemmungen führen.
• Denken Sie daran, Kraftstoffstabilisator in den Kraftstofftank zu geben, wenn das Fahrzeug über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht gefahren wird.
• Kraftstoffstabilisator verhindert, dass Benzin verdampft und/oder klebrige Harze bildet, die den Vergaser verstopfen können.
