EXEDY is a Tier 1 OEM supplier to all major automotive and off-highway manufacturers across the globe, and even supply the products sold as "OEM" at local dealerships. The EXEDY Pro-Kit clutch assembly you will receive is manufactured on the same production line as OEM clutch components!

Clutch Covers:
  • Endure a precise robotic testing process to ensure proper clamp load and clutch lift separation for better drivability.
  • The diaphragm spring (dark fingers in the center) receives special high frequency induction heat treating. This helps prevent the wear that normally occurs at the contact surface of the release bearing and guarantees durability.
  • Provides a like-new pedal feel throughout the life of your clutch.
Clutch Discs:
  • Friction material is developed and manufactured by EXEDY engineers.
  • Material has exceptional friction and wear characteristics that will help engage smoothly, grip as expected, and provide a longer lasting installation.
  • Center disc spring dampers suppress engine and driveline noise by absorbing vibrations.

What Is A Solid Flywheel Conversion Kit?

A Solid Flywheel Conversion Kit is used to convert a vehicle originally equipped with a dual mass flywheel to a solid flywheel. This conversion requires no special tools, you can simply bolt the Solid Flywheel Conversion Kit in place of your previous Dual Mass Flywheel Clutch. There are some Pros and Cons of a Solid Flywheel Conversion to consider:

PROS

  • Price: Solid Flywheels are typically much cheaper than Dual Mass Flywheels
  • Increased Durability: Solid Flywheels are more durable than Dual Mass Flywheels because there are no springs or moving pieces
  • Can Be Resurfaced: Unlike Dual Mass Flywheels, Solid Flywheels can be resurfaced instead of replaced during clutch replacement if still within factory specifications

CONS

  • Increased Vibration and Noise: Solid Flywheels cannot absorb noise and vibration as well as Dual Mass Flywheels do, so you may experience a rougher or noisier drive
  • Increased Transmission Wear: The reduced dampening ability of a Solid Flywheel can lead to increased wear and tear on your transmission and drivetrain
