Our "Super Sealing" Magnum MaxDry SS™ gaskets are designed by highly experienced automotive product engineers, who are not only experts in gasket design, but have first-hand knowledge of what is involved in the manufacture and installation of the gaskets. Magnum's manufacturing facilities are world class, having been a supplier to OEM and well known, aftermarket gasket brands for many years.
Intake manifold gaskets today must seal and survive in much more demanding operating environments than in the past, including exposure to extended life anti-freeze, known as OAT (Organic Acid Technology) coolants. In this gasket design, rubber sealing beads are squeezed and displaced, requiring a precisely calculated void for the rubber to fill. Long term sealing with this design is highly dependent on resistance to "compressions set", so that the bead does not flatten out and lose its seal. Magnum's molded gaskets are made with high quality, post-cured rubber compounds to avoid this problem. These gaskets are your first choice for many foreign and domestic late model engines.
