TRANSGO A4A6RVTK Specifications
Installation NoteTransmission Removal Not Required
This reamer and guide tool kit is required to oversize the reducing regulator bores when using TransGo SHIFT KITŪ Valve Body Repair Kit SKA6MF or SKA4CF for Hyundai and Kia vehicles with the A4CF1/2, A6MF1/2, A6GF1, A6LF1/2/3 as well as 2013-2016 Jeep and 2012-2016 Dodge vehicles with the 6F24 transmission.

These transmissions frequently wear out the reducing valve bore. As a result, complaints of brutal 6-4 kickdown bang are very common. The wear also causes erratic shifting complaints, flares or neutrals on shifts, gear ratio codes, and solenoid performance codes.

The purpose of reducing valves is to limit the pressure going to the solenoids. The spring is calibrated to prevent solenoid feed pressure from exceeding a predetermined PSI, no matter what main line pressure is. This is necessary to prevent more fluid from being fed to the solenoids than they can effectively regulate and limit what max line pressure output is. If the pressure feeding the solenoids is too high or too low, their output will also be too high or too low. As a result, shift quality complaints and codes can occur along with low or high main line pressure.

These valve bodies will work great once you replace the old reducing regulator valves with TransGo USA-made hardened steel valves. No expensive holding fixture required. Reusable high-quality USA-made steel reamer and heat-treated guide.
