The Continental Overrunning Alternator Decoupler Pulley features the latest in alternator pulley technology - currently more than 70 million vehicles in North America are equipped with an OAD vs. an OAP. OADs reduce noise, vibration and harshness typical for today's lean engine designs, while improving fuel efficiency and lowering the risk of premature accessory drive component failures.

Always replace an OAD-equipped alternator pulley with another OAD unit. Without it, the vehicle could experience excessive belt flutter, worn or broken tensioners, extreme belt wear, belt ejection and unwanted noise from belt vibration and slippage.
