FRAM® High Mileage® For vehicles with over 75,000 Miles
  • Industry exclusive, patented time-released gel additive conditions oil through the entire change cycle
  • Gel additives balance oil PH and maintain viscosity
  • Ideal for older engines that are more susceptible to oil break-down
  • Uses cellulose and synthetic glass blended media to provide 3X MORE engine protection than the average of leading economy oil filters
  • 95% Dirt Trapping Efficiency
How It Works
  1. Dirty oil enters the filter
  2. The oil passes through the media where it's filtered with 96% single pass efficiency
  3. The TRT™ additive gel is time released into the filtered oil
  4. The additive dissolves slowly into the oil
  5. The treated oil flows back into the engine to protect against corrosive wear, deposits and viscosity build-up

Installation Instructions
  • Check owner's manual for correct oil specification, viscosity, and amount. Purchase oil by year, make, and model, or under the Tools & Universal Parts tab on RockAuto.com
  • Wear proper protective gear (safety glasses, gloves, long sleeve shirt) to protect skin and eyes from hot oil.
  • Place a Drain Pan under the crankcase and carefully open drain plug to drain oil. When oil is fully drained, reinstall drain plug on the oil pan.
  • Position the drain pan under the oil filter. Unscrew oil filter (using a Filter Wrench, if necessary).
  • Clean mounting base, making sure the O-ring from the old filter is not stuck to the filter mount.
  • Apply film of clean oil to filter gasket.
  • Screw new filter on until gasket reaches base contact, then tighten filter to manufacturer specifications.
  • Add oil to “full” on dipstick. Idle engine for 5 minutes and check for leaks.
  • Shut off engine and recheck oil level after 5 minutes. Top off as necessary.
It is illegal to dispose of used oil or oil filters in a sanitary landfill or public waterway. Many towns have free hazardous waste drop-off sites, which a quick internet search will help you find.
