Magnum Severe Service
If your original Shock / Strut is surrounded by a Coil Spring, replacing just the bare cartridge may require a Coil Spring Compressor to safely remove and reuse the spring and mount (not included) from your original assembly.

Monroe® Magnum™ Severe Service™ struts are engineered for added control and long service life. They are ideal for high mileage, hard-working emergency, municipal fleet and construction vehicles.

Features:
  • Nitrogen gas-charged: For improved ride handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration
  • Shouldered bushings: Shouldered bushing and bonded bushing with sleeve designs prevent bushing walkout for improved quality and durability (on most applications)
  • 5/8" (16 mm) Diameter Piston Rod: Nitrocarburized design more environmentally friendly, maintaining chrome structural benefits, without affecting durability or use life of the rod. Sintered iron design allows for more precise piston dimensions, requiring no additional components for exceptional fit (on most applications)
  • Loop Welding Technique: Resistance weld with additional 360-degree weld provides up to 14,100 lbs (6395 kg) tensile strength for maximum durability
  • 2" (50.8 mm) Reserve Tube: More fluid for more consistent performance (on most applications)
  • 1 3/8" (35 mm) Bore: Larger bore than most shocks to provide more efficient and consistent control (on most applications)
  • 10 Stage Valving: Reacts to wide range of driving conditions (on most applications)
  • All weather fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce frictions and ensure smooth rod reaction
  • .05" Pressure Tube: Withstands pressure of 9KPSI (on most applications)
