Which High Performance Set Best Suits Your Needs?

HEAVY DUTY SETS (Good)
This standard double raw chain set offers that little extra durability and peace of mind.

Heavy Duty Sets - Double row cast iron cam sprocket with .200" or .220" double row chain and induction heat-treated billet steel 3 keyway crank sprocket. 3 keyways allow +/- 4 degrees of adjustability at the crank, equivalent to +/- 2 degrees of cam timing adjustment.

STREET TRUE ROLLERS (Better)
Entry-Level TRUE Roller offerings for the budget-minded street enthusiast.

Street TRUE - Offering a .250 TRUE Roller chain with a cast iron cam sprocket and induction heat-treated billet steel 3 keyway crank sprocket.
Street Billet - Same as above with the added features of billet steel cam sprocket and 9 key crank sprocket. 9 keyways allow +/- 8 degrees of adjustability in 2 crank degree increments.

RACE TRUE ROLLERS (Best)
Race-proven speed sets. These custom hand-matched sets give the professional racer the assurance needed for a race-dedicated engine.

Race TRUE - Induction heat-treated sprockets hand-matched with premium .250 TRUE Roller chain. Sets contain ductile iron or induction heat-treated cast iron cam sprockets and induction heat treated 3 keyway billet steel crank sprockets. Sprockets are paired with a premium .250 TR chain. The original Race set that put Cloyes in the race business in 1970.
Race Billet - Cloyes took a good idea and made it better. Similar to above with the added assurance of all billet sprockets and added benefit of versatility with 3 or 9 keyway crank sprockets.

ADJUSTABLE RACE TRUE ROLLERS (Best)
Like above, these custom hand-matched sets give the professional racer the assurance needed for a race-dedicated engine, with the added feature of infinite adjustability anywhere between +/- 6 degrees.

Hex-A-Just - Cloyes' number one seller to the professional race crowd. All the assurances of Cloyes' top-of-the-line speed set: billet steel heat-treated sprockets, hand-matched with their premium .250 TRUE Roller chain, and infinitely adjustable (from +/- 6 degrees) with the simple turn of a wrench. Add Cloyes' quick button two-piece timing cover and you are way ahead of the field!

"Z-RACING TRUE" ROLLERS (Z-Best)
Developed for those extreme racing conditions that push your internal engine components to their limits. With the addition of the exclusive Cloyes "Z" Chain, the "Z-Racing" series is available as an upgrade for a select number of popular racing applications on all race categories discussed above.

Service Tip: Clean and sufficient oil is the key to getting maximum life from your timing system. Premature component or complete system failure can often be traced to oiling issues. Always use manufacturer-recommended oil and follow manufacturer-recommended service intervals.

When To Replace Sprockets With Timing Chain

Benefits of Purchasing a Complete Kit

Purchasing individual components may be less expensive up-front, but a complete Timing Chain & Component Kit provides added benefits:

Improve Engine Performance: A new chain may not mesh with worn sprockets, and worn tensioners / guides won't apply enough tension, ultimately resulting in poor engine performance. Replacing all timing components together will make the whole system run more efficiently.
Save Time & Money: The cost of the kit is often less than buying all of the components individually, and replacing all of the components at the same time means you only have to do the job (or pay for labor) once.
